During the period from 16.9 to 28.9.2013, the young researcher Marko Golnar participated at PhD summer school in Frankfurt. Guiding theme and objective of summer school was vision of the Frankfurt city to fully transform its energy sistem to renewable energy sources until the year 2050. Summer school was attended by 38 doctoral candidates from 20 European universities, which heard 22 lectures at universities, public bodies and businesses. Lectures were given in the domains of theoretical knowledge about systems innovation/transition management and how to apply transformation of the energy system in Frankfurt. As an assignment, participants have elaborated a project plan for this transition. The group "Passive mobility" in which Marko worked has achieved the first place for their masterplan. For the reflection has been used Frankfurt's experiences from the application to the "European Green Capital Award".
